This ring presents a bold domed surface entirely animated by pavé-set stones in shifting tones of white, champagne, blush, rose, and deep pink. The dense setting creates a continuous sparkling field across the curved top, while the graduated colour arrangement introduces movement from cool brilliance to warm saturation. The polished silver shank provides a clean structural base beneath the richly textured crown.
This piece forms part of my wider practical investigations into pavé setting, colour composition, and the sculptural potential of domed ring forms. I wanted to create a surface where stones function not merely as accents, but as the primary visual material. The domed profile was chosen to maximise light interaction and to give the ring a soft architectural volume. By arranging stones in tonal progression, I explored how colour could move across a form in the same way pigment moves across a painted surface. The pavé technique allowed the individual stones to merge into a unified field of brilliance. My intention was to combine technical precision with chromatic expression, transforming a ring into a compact landscape of light and colour.
